MAGCH is a new and non-traditional brand that’s been catching everyone’s attention recently due to a lot of reasons such as a cheap price and good specs. Now, should you buy these tablets? 

First things first, MAGCH is a brand only sold on Amazon (yet) and the reviews are mostly positive. So, if you’re looking for a day-to-day tablet, buy the MAGCH because it’s less than $100 on Amazon. Now, we recommend such a tablet if you wanna a standard one for your kid, but what about YOUR everyday use? Should you consider the MAGCH tablet rather than a Samsung? Let’s hop into details and decide once and for all.

What Defines a Good Tablet in 2023?

Let’s first define what makes a good tablet, and then we’ll decide if MAGCH is the right one for you!

To make a good tablet, it MUST have the following features:

1. Good Screen (Size & Resolution)
2. Storage Capacity (At least 64 GB in 2023)
3. Fast CPU (At least quad-core)
4. RAM (At least 4GB but 8GB is recommended)
5. Good Battery Life
6. Good Camera

If the tablet you’re buying has all of these, it may be the one for you. Yes, there can be some exceptions where the camera isn’t the best, but that depends on personal preference. 

We Bought the MAGCH Tablet – Here’s Our Experience After A Week of Use

Now, coming to the MAGCH Tablets, Are the MAGCH tablets for you? We bought one, used it, and here’s our opinion on the MAGCH 10 Android 11 Tablet.

What’s in the Box

In the box, you’ll find the Tablet, a 2A fast charger, along with a USB-C cable for fast charging. Along with the essential, a USB-A (female) to USB-C OTG is included.

Right off the box, you’ll notice the fine build quality of the MAGCH tablet and the big, glossy display, but there are some catches, that will address later in this article.

Build Quality

The built quality is excellent. On the first look, you’ll notice the sleek metallic design; the metal also covers the screen from the sides and protects them. (we do not recommend dropping this big thing).

In conclusion, don’t expect the build quality to be on the high end, but for less than $100, it’s a bargain.

The Display

Well, a 10-inch tablet with a 1080p* display can’t go wrong. Usually, when you buy a cheap tablet, it will most likely have a 720p display at best but the MAGCH wins in the display department as it’s offering you a decent 1920×1200 IPS display. (technically, it’s higher than 1080p)

By the looks of it, the display is nice and bright (indoors), but don’t expect it to blow your mind with high-end sharpness. If you want it for your child or expect yourself to read at night, the company recommends not removing the protective film that comes pre-installed on the screen. 

Also, the display has some limitations such as limited viewing angles and not being the brightest display. So, if you’re looking straight at the display, fine, but looking at it from the sides will show weird colors. 

Another weird thing we noticed is that there is no brightness sensor installed on the tablet’s front. We say that because as we went outside, the brightness didn’t go up. Upon increasing the brightness to full, we still couldn’t see much. So, keep that in mind before buying. 

The Speed (and Overall Smoothness)

IT IS A SMOOTH TABLET FOR $100! Yes, an octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM ran fine on our MAGCH tablet. Disclaimer: We didn’t overcrowd our tablet with tens of apps so if you plan to do so, IT WILL SLOW DOWN.

To test the speed and RAM management, we opened around 8-10 tabs on Google Chrome, and the tablet was working smoothly. We would switch between the tabs, and there were no lags.

To be honest, the price range of $100 and the speed as shown in the graph above is impressive. You can see that MAGCH compares well with the speed of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 but loses clearly with the flagship Samsung S20+. The comparison was made to give the idea that MAGCH tablets are fine when it comes to daily usage and mundane tasks.

The Camera (Spoiler Alert: Just Okay)

The Android 11 MAGCH tablet with two cameras; a 13 megapixels camera on the back and a single 8-MP camera on the front. The pictures and video quality of these cameras are just okay. Yes, it will be enough for video calls, but taking pictures, not so much.

The camera bump on the back is a little too much because since it’s a single camera, they could’ve adjusted the camera without creating a bump but hey, it’s a $100 tablet, so we should stop complaining about the little things.

Coming to the software side of the camera and features, it does have some modes such as the Pro and burst mode. In the pro mode, you can manually change the ISO, light balance, etc., to your liking; such features are a must in 2023, and the MAGCH tablet has them.

The Speakers

The Stereo speakers are located on the top and are loud enough to give your (small) room a good volume. They are not the crispiest speakers as you would find on other tablets, but if you compare them with other cheap tablets – that are still over $150 while this one is only $100 – the ones with this MAGCH tablet will win.

If you’re a casual gamer or someone who’d like to blast music on this bad boy, expect the speakers to be fine. 

The Battery Life

The latest MAGCH Tablet comes with a 6000mAh battery which should be decent for everyday use. Since we recently bought the tablet, we can’t give any information about the battery life experience of one month of use. But from the box, the tablet was running well and giving 6-7 hours of on-screen time, which is decent if we consider the big 12-inch, 1920×1200 display on the tablet. 

To preserve the battery and reduce battery ware, keep in mind the following facts and charging your battery (this applies to all electronic devices including phones and laptops):

• Do not charge 100% – charge it to 90% or even 80% to make the most out of your battery
• Do not let the battery fall below 20% – it damages your battery
• Try to keep the battery between 30% to 70% at all times – it increases the longevity of the battery and prevents overheating issues

Previously, their tablets we slow with only 2GB of RAM but their latest model with Android 11 and 4GB of RAM is smoother which will suit a lot of people.
