Electronic LED screens have gained widespread popularity due to their high-definition visuals, vibrant colors, seamless large-scale integration, and strong color reproduction capabilities. Despite the meticulous efforts of LED screen manufacturers to control color variations within a narrow range, deviations in color, commonly known as color bias or tint, can still occur during usage. Causes of LED Display Color Deviation

LED Lamp Bead Issue: 

One major cause for the uneven color cast on large LED screens can be traced back to process issues: each batch produced by LED display manufacturers will exhibit variances in hue. IAMLEDWALL LED display manufacturers assemble and age them before sending them off for sale to customers. 

Other factors are errors in light and color separation, inconsistent chip parameters in different batches of LED lamp beads, packaging glue material defects or die bonding errors, which will alter their wavelength, brightness and viewing angle. Production Process:

 After an LED module has been wave-soldered, its position has been fixed and cannot be altered; however, many manufacturers do not implement any protection measures to avoid collisions from occurring during various processes like testing, repair, welding pin headers replacements, and aging transfers. Or glue-filling processes could alter their positions further leading to color casts or other phenomena occurring.

Power Supply Issues: 

Failing to select the proper material and brand of power supplies or quantities when designing a large LED screen can result in uneven power distribution resulting in color casts or other undesirable outcomes. For instance, an initial 5V 40A 200W supply could only accommodate 6 LED indoor display modules at once, yet in order to save costs the customer brought 8 modules, which caused uneven power distribution that led to color casts as a result of color casting effects.

Control System and Driver IC:

 Since LED display manufacturers specialize solely in assembly, all raw materials including control systems and driver ICs must be purchased from third-party sources, leaving their quality and stability unprotected by LED manufacturers’ own design, development, testing and production capabilities of these materials. Hence the only effective solution to correct color cast problems would be adjusting display parameters accordingly or employing point-by-point correction technology to adjust displays as required.

Yellowing of LED Screens:

It may be caused by the barbecue temperature being too high or the time being too long during reflow soldering, or the glue ratio being incorrect. Glue A tends to turn yellow. The solution is to keep the barbecue temperature below 150 degrees, use the AB glue at 120-140 degrees, cure and demould within 30 minutes, and lower the curing temperature. AB glue solidifies and demolds at 120-130 degrees/30-40 minutes. If it exceeds 150 degrees or is grilled for too long, it will turn yellow.
