Madrid-based staffing agency, Jobandtalent, has raised $108 million in Series C funding in January 2021, bringing the total funding to date to $290 million. The company connects temporary workers with potential employers, eliminating the need for a broker, and has served over 80,000 workers across the EU. The platform has also been utilized by big companies such as Huawei, Bayer, eBay, XPO, and Santander.

Due to the trend of increasing temporary work, the demand for Jobandtalent’s services has grown, with new user accounts doubling from the previous year and generating €500 million in revenue. In March 2021, the company raised another €100 million in a Series D round led by Softbank Vision Fund 2, and in December 2021, they raised another €500 million to meet demand and scale their business.

The company has raised a total of $1.3 billion in 18 funding rounds, with 34 investors, including 13 lead investors. Co-founder, Juan Urdiales, stated that the company will keep expanding and sees high potential to grow even faster.

The platform uses a mobile app and its own Worker Quality Score algorithm to match workers with the right jobs, and it aims to provide temp workers with better benefits such as health insurance, training courses, and quick payroll. The ultimate goal is to keep workers constantly employed through different assignments at different companies.

Jobandtalent was founded in 2009 and started off in the enterprise recruitment sector but now focuses on helping small businesses and the gig work market. The company wants to provide a fulfilling professional experience for temp workers and aims to keep them constantly employed through different assignments at different companies, all through one convenient app.
